Other factors are can also cause this problem, such as taking certain medications, pregnancy, genetic factors, a hormonal problem, aging and more.

Who is this treatment for?

People with brown spots caused by the sun or resulting from overproduction of melanin.

Which parts of the body can be treated?

  • Face
  • Neck
  • Chest
  • Hands
  • Legs

Which methods do you use to eliminate age spots?

  • Pulsed light (IPL Device)
  • Chemical Peel
  • Medical-aesthetic products at home

What is the difference between these three methods?

1- Pulsed light is ideal for removing larger sized age spots. The IPL device selectively eliminates pigments (melanin) contained in the cells, thus restoring natural color to your skin.

2- The chemical peel is a chemical exfoliation of the skin that can treat small and medium sized pigmented spots. Chemical peels can also reduce the appearance of wrinkles and pores, and result in a more even skin tone.

3- Medical-aesthetic high-performance products with hydroquinone and various acids used at home can be a good option to remove residual spots or for maintenance to prevent future occurrence.

A medical technician will inform you of the possibilities available to you.

What results can I expect?

The discolored skin will be eliminated after forming thin scabs, often darker than the original age spot. Scabs will disappear after about ten days to make way for new (pinkish) skin. The skin will regain its original color within a few weeks.

What should one do at home following treatment?

The sun and tanning should be avoided for 4 weeks following treatment. A SPF 30-grade sunscreen is imperative.

What is the cost of the treatment?

The price varies according to your needs, depending on which professionnal treatments is necessary for your case. All treatments are supervised by clinical nurse and doctors.
