The discolored skin will be eliminated after forming thin scabs, often darker than the original age spot. Scabs will disappear after about ten days to make way for new (pinkish) skin. The skin will regain its original color within a few weeks.
The sun and tanning should be avoided for 4 weeks following treatment. A SPF 30-grade sunscreen is imperative.
