The expressions on our face are the result of muscle contractions. Throughout the day, our muscles contract when we smile, when we’re sad, angry and even when we eat. Over time, all these emotions leave wrinkles on our face. At first, only fine lines appears. As they age, they eventually grow and become wrinkles.
How do we treat them? The process is quite simple: we need to relax the muscles of the face. This is achieved through Botox injections. Used for more than 30 years, millions of injections are performed around the world. Nothing surpasses the effects of Botox!
Cosmetic Botox is a non-surgical procedure administered directly into specific facial muscles. The injections contain a diluted form of botulinum toxin A, which works by blocking nerve impulses responsible for the contraction of muscles. Specifically, Botox injections block the release of acetylcholine, a chemical that triggers muscle contractions. The reduction of muscle activity leads wrinkles to relax and soften, becoming less visible.
No anesthesia is necessary for cosmetic Botox, as we use syringes with very fine needles, no larger than those used in acupuncture. The procedure is not painful and discomfort is minimal and brief. The total treatment time is usually less than 20 minutes and you can resume normal activities immediately.

The next two weeks:
Botox Cosmetic will not radically change your facial appearance and you'll always be able to frown, show surprise and make normal facial expressions. It takes a few days to feel the effects of Botox. The results are optimal two weeks after the initial injection and may last up to four months.
Anyone with good health and with visible wrinkles and fine lines can be a candidate for Botox treatments. It is not recommended to receive Botox injections if you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication or if you suffer from a neurological disease. We will conduct a evaluation during your initial free consultation.
